Day 1

Colombo - Negombo

Arrival at Colombo International Airport, where you will be met by a representative of our local agency and taken to your hotel in Negombo.
Free time for lunch.
In the afternoon you will go on a three-hour canoe trip on Muthurajawela Marsh, the lagoon between Negombo and Colombo. You can watch a wide variety of birds along the water.
Dinner and night at the 3-star Goldi Sands Hotel (or similar).

Day 2

Negombo – Pinnawela - Dambulla

After breakfast you will drive to Pinnawala, known for its elephant orphanage. You can watch the baby elephants as they get fed and have a bath in the river.
In the afternoon you will discover the cave temple in Dambulla. Built during the 1stcentury BC, it includes five caves used as sanctuaries adorned with extraordinary Buddhist murals.
Dinner and night at the 3-star Sigirya Hotel (or similar).

Day 3

Sigiriya – Dambulla - Polonnaruwa

As early as 7.30 a.m. you will leave for Sigiriya to discover Lion Rock and visit the Sigiriya fortress, which overlooks the valley.
Later on you will drive to Polonnaruwa to explore the site and see the former Royal Palace, the relic room, the statue of King Parakramabahu, the Gal Potha, the temple dedicated to Shiva and Gal Vihara, with the four statues of Buddha.
The day will end with a safari in Minneriya National Park to watch wild elephants.
Dinner and night at the 3-star Sigirya Hotel (or similar).

Day 4

Polonnaruwa – Matale - Kandy

Departure for Kandy after breakfast. On the way you will discover  the region's exceptional scenery. You will visit a spice garden and a batik workshop in Matale.
Free time for lunch.
In Kandy, make sure you see the famous Relic of theTooth of Buddha at the Temple of Dalada Maligawa.
Your evening will feature traditional dancing and the evening ceremony at the Temple of the Tooth, a unique experience.
Dinner and night at the Spring Villas (or similar).

Day 5

Kandy – Peradeniva - Kandy

After breakfast you will start with a visit of thePeradeniya Royal Botanic Gardens. These former royal gardens are the largest of their kind in Asia.
They display amazing vegetation that includes cannonball trees, sea coconut treas, giant bamboos and the famous giant Java fig tree, which alone attracts many visitors.
Dinner and night at the Spring Villas (or similar).

Day 6

Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

Breakfast and free morning.
At 1 p.m. you will board a local train in Nawalapitiya to go to the village of Nanu Oya.
You will fall under the spell of the amazing scenery unfolding before your eyes, particularly the tea-covered hills and the numerous waterfalls.
The rest of the journey will be done by road and end in Nuwara Eliya. On arrival you will visit the town and its lovely park.
Dinner and night at the Ferncliff Hotel (or similar).

Day 7

Nuwara Eliya - Uda Walawe

You will spend the morning walking around the village of Haputale, surrounded by tea plantations.
Towards the end of the day you will go on safari at Uda Walawe National Park. There you will have the opportunity to see wild animals such as elephants, buffaloes, mongooses, foxes and crocodiles.
Dinner and night at the 4-star Grand Udawalawe Safari Resort (or similar).

Day 8

Uda Walawe - Ratnapura - Colombo

Next on your itinerary is Ratnapura, also called “the City of Gems” (90 km from Colombo). You will start by visiting a small mine and a market specialised in precious stones, including diamonds.
In Ratnapura, the extraction of stones such as sapphires, tourmalines, amethysts, rubies and cat's-eyes is still done in a traditional way.
From the top of the hills you can see Adam's Peak and the northern mountain ranges. Ratnapura also has an old English fort.
In the afternoon you will visit Colombo, including the Fort and the Pettah areas, a Hindu temple, a Buddhist temple and the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall.
Free time for dinner.
Night at the 3star Lake Lodge (or similar).

Day 9

Colombo - Aéroport

Your tour of the region will end with a few days spent relaxing on a magnificent Maldives island situated in the Rasdhoo atoll. You will stay in a beach bungalow on a half-board basis.
So after breakfast you will drive to Colombo InternationalAirport to catch a flight toMalé.
Arrival in Malé, where you will take a seaplane and later land on the crystal-clear waters bordering the beach of the Royal Island Hotel.
You can now truly relax: you're in paradise!
Dinner and night at the 5-star Royal Island Hotel.

Days 10 to 12

MALDIVES

During four nights you will make the most of this exceptional resort, enjoy the buffets and above all your beautifully-appointed bungalow.
A variety of water sports such as scuba diving, kayaking and many others are available. You can also go for walks along the superb beaches on the Indian Ocean.
You will stay in a beach bungalow on a half-board basis (breakfast and dinner included).
Dinner and night at the 5-star Royal Island Hotel.

Day 13

BEACH HOLIDAY - AIRPORT - HOME

In the morning you can enjoy lazing around for a little longer. Towards the end of the day you will get transferred back to the airport to fly home.

This is a private tour so you will be on your own (as a couple, a family or a group of friends, etc.) and your driver guide will escort you for the duration of your stay;
